On 1 January 2025, the calculation method for sea and inland port fees changed. The Port of Rotterdam Authority, in close collaboration with Deltalinqs and the Association of Rotterdam Shipbrokers and Agents (VRC), set the port tariffs for seagoing vessels for the next three years.

Sustainability and efficiency now play a more significant role, aligning closely with the ambitions of the Port of Rotterdam Authority. Previously, seaport fees were calculated based on a ship’s size, type and cargo volume. A sustainability component has now been added, based on a ship's size. This new calculation method places greater emphasis on sustainability and efficient loading.
