…the port of Rotterdam covers a surface area of more than 12,600 hectares?
Rotterdam is Europe’s largest port city and reaches across a long distance towards the sea. The cruise terminal, however, is in proximity of the city centre. From the terminal, the city centre – with its large pedestrian and shopping complex Lijnbaan – is within easy walking distance (approx. 10 minutes).
Lijnbaan was the very first car-free shopping centre in Europe. Take the underground (Metro) at Wilhelminaplein near the terminal to Beurs (three stops). Walk to the town hall, opposite you’ll find the Lijnbaan!
